As seen on London’s underground train network

From today’s Birmingham Post:

Meanwhile, Culture Minister Ed Vaizey backed Birmingham’s “entrepreneurial” poster campaign promoting its City of Culture bid on the London Underground.

Mr Vaizey said: “I see it on the Tube in London. It is a very entrepreneurial approach to raising the profile of the city across the UK.”

A few months back Birmingham City Council started using this photo of mine, taken at the Blast performance in 2007, to promote their City of Culture bid. Since then, apparently, it’s all over the tube.

Since the bid is running on a shoestring budget (something our glorious leader seems rather proud of) I only got £50. It was my fault really for not specifying the use on the invoice but I’m not too bothered. Good cause and a lesson learned and all that.

But that’s not going to stop me cashing in. If you’d like a print of this photo, or any others from that set, I’ll sell you a 12×8″ for £25, post included to the UK.

Here’s the PayPal button.

Maybe Mr Vaizey would like one for his office?
