Last month I did a Pecha Kucha talk in Coventry where I tried to cram all of my thoughts about trusting your content and memories to Google, Twitter and Facebook into 20 slides at 20 seconds a slide. It was a useful exercise for me personally and has helped me develop my thoughts more clearly but I really wasn’t sure how well it had come across. Was I just splurging buzzwords at a bewildered room? Was there anything valuable in there at all?
The video just came online. It’s not too bad. Maybe I’ll flesh it out into an article once this busy period is over.
Thanks to PK Cov for hosting (the next one is Oct 11th and there are speaker slots free) and Mindriot for recording.
Update: Here are the slides.
No not a bad presentation at all, however it has left me wanting to know more – about how and why certain services are free and what use our information is to them, and also what our alternatives might be. What ‘social networking’ tools you do rate, and why….
Yeah, I should probably cover all that in the book I might write this year…
