Grill Chime

So I get home and while I’m waiting for the kettle to boil I notice the grill pan has been washed and is perched on the drying rack so I put it away and it makes that clanging chime that grill pans make and I wonder, do all grill pans make that chime? It sounds familiar, and not just because it’s our grill pan. It sounds like all the grill pans I’ve ever know, and as a frequent mover I’ve known a fair few. So I’m wondering, is there a research project in recording the sounds of household grill pans? Is this something I could get funding for? Or have I utterly misunderstood the concept of research project funding?
